TWL Pro Tip Review – Worth the cost?

When I started writing this TWL Pro Tip Review, I was expecting big things. Any service that puts everything on just one tip a day had better know what it is doing. So, I’ll be finding out if this service really know it’s stuff or if you’ll just be wasting your time.

What is TWL Pro Tip?

The Daily Pro Tip is, in principle, very basic. Well, it is for the follower anyway. For the guys who run this service, it means looking into breeding, past performance, race times and running style as well as the latest gallops news and several other factors.

TWL Pro Tip Review

All of this is distilled down into just one tip a day with the aim of providing the best chance of winning with the best price. That’s a lot of pressure on just one tip, and with all that work behind it, you’re going to be really disappointed if it doesn’t win.

How does TWL Pro Tip Work?

If you’re expecting this service to pull big winners out of a hat, you’re going to be disappointed. These are just win singles at average odds of a little under 3. They’re just one point each but you will be compounding your winnings (more on that later).

While I was reviewing this I didn’t see any tips on a Sunday, so overall you’re looking at just 6 tips a week. The more I saw of this, the more I thought that if this is going to work, the strike rate is going to have to be something special.

How long does TWL Pro Tip take to set up?

There’s nothing special involved with getting started though. If you’re already a BetFan member it will take you just a couple of minutes but if you’re new to the site you’ll have to register first. After that, it’s just a case of paying your money and waiting for the first tip to arrive.

For all of the tips I saw while I was reviewing this, I could have placed at any of the bookies I already had accounts with. So, you won’t need to open any new accounts if you’re already with 2 or three bookies or learn anything new.

How long does it take to use TWL Pro Tip?

Placing one bet a day isn’t going to take you long and it’s even quicker if you’ve got everything set up on your phone. The odds seemed to be available everywhere for a while after the tips arrived, but that’s not unusual for odds that low.

There is the occasional tip for a higher price so you’d want to to get that on quickly, and make sure you can refer easily to oddschecker if you have to go looking for a price.

Betfair or the other exchanges is certainly an option for most of what you’ll be getting but remember you’ll lose any BOG benefits you’d get from your usual bookmaker.

TWL Pro Tip Review Results

This is one of the few occasions when the numbers are quite small but still quite good. The results have suffered a bit this year, as they have for a lot of tipsters, but prior to that were quite healthy.

This service does not work off of flat stakes, though, and the 95pts profit in the last 2 years looks a lot better if you take their advice and compound your winnings. You’ll see that a £1000 starting bank can be built to £17000 in 6 months.

You’d be daft not to take this advice, especially because at flat stakes, this service would have barely covered your subscription fees.

How much does TWL Pro Tip cost?

That’s mostly because those fees are on the high side. Not Bob Rothman high but still pretty pricey. You’ll be paying £15 for a week, £45 for 28 days, £126 for three months or £214 for six months.

The 38% strike rate is very high for a win-only service, so the losing runs are short and won’t do too much damage to your 100pt bank. The biggest losing month is just 14pts so your money will be well protected.

TWL Pro Tip Review Advantages

When they say Pro Tip, they mean it. Following this service does feel different, although it’s no more complicated than any other service and mush simpler than most of them. The one tip a day is easy to place as the prices are available at a lot of bookies for a while after the tip arrives.

All of this is great, as well as the win rate, but most of all you’ll be attracted to the compounded results, which are excellent.

TWL Pro Tip Review Disadvantages

You do have to be in this for the long term though. If you’re just using flat stakes you won’t make much at all after fees. Compounding does lead to greater riches but paying 12 or 18 months fees (in this case £1200 or so) without taking a penny while you’re building your bank does take discipline.

This is even more important when there are losing runs and you’re seeing your bank go down in lumps – it’s going to be tempting to cut and run.

TWL Pro Tip Review Conclusion and Overall Rating

That’s at the heart of it really. If you want a long term bank builder, and see this as almost an investment rather than a tipping service then this is for you.

On the other hand, if you’re just looking for a successful tipping service that gives you a bit extra each month, you won’t stick with this long. You’ll be put off by the fees and the slow but steady progress.
