Big Race Profit Basher Review – Does what it says on the tin?

In this Big Race Profit Basher review, I’ll be finding out if this tipping service is worth your time and money. It’s been on the Tipster Street platform for nearly three years but has really only been delivering for the last 18 months. I’ll be seeing if this really will give you big race profits.

What is Big Race Profit Basher?

Big Race Profit Basher (or BRPB for short) should be, on paper at least, a no-nonsense service. Focus on the big races look for value, job done. For the first year (the point at which I first reviewed it for a now-defunct website) it was doing the job very well, posting over 400 points in profit.

Then it all went wrong and wiped about 70% of that year’s profits off in just a couple of months. Since then, the climb back to that same 400+pt level of profit has been slower and steadier. This hints at a change in the selection process since I last looked at it.

I was interested to find out what had changed and if the same crash that happened in the results two years ago could happen again?

How does Big Race Profit Basher Work?

Big races don’t happen every day so neither will the tips. To use a recent example, there were only four tips in all of January but 6 already in 4 days of February. You’ll get a mix of win, each way and place bets staking anything up to 12pts each time.

The odds are based on value so while some of the odds are less than two, the rest are all over the place and average out at around 10. Luckily, the tips arrive between 9 am and 11 am when things are a bit calmer than the evening before when most ‘value’ tips arrive. Even so. you won’t want to leave it too long before getting your bets on.

With the number of points being staked each time, it’s easy to see how a losing run could be so catastrophic to profits. It will be interesting to see what the tipster has done to stop this happening to this extent again.

How long does Big Race Profit Basher take to set up?

Before you can do any of that, you’ll need to go to the Tipster Street website and get yourself signed up. It’s literally a couple of clicks and a Paypal form so you can part with your cash. The tips will then be sent to the email address of your PayPal account.

The Tipster Street people are a lot more accessible than a few other websites so you can send them an email or give them a call if you need it changed. Apart from that, it’s just a case of waiting for the tips to arrive.

There’s nothing new to learn here, or anything else to join. You should be able to do all of this using your existing bookie’s accounts, or even using the exchanges if you wanted. If you are using Betfair/Betdaq though, remember the commission fees if you’re aiming for a better price. Also, remember you won’t get any BOG (best odds guaranteed) benefits you might get from a bookmaker.

Regardless of how many bets you have, the answer is not long. These are simple to put on and will only take you more than a few seconds if you have to go chasing a wandering price. It is worth doing that though, as getting things at 5/1 instead of 7/1 makes a big difference over the course of a month.

Given the time these arrive, you might find it easier (as I did) to have all of this set-up on your phone. This way you can do this easily even if you’re not sat in front of your computer when the tips arrive.

Tipster Street Review Results

I know this is horse racing, but this is very much a game of two halves. You’ve got the first years rise to 400+pts profit and then the next couple of months that all but wiped that profit out. Since then, you’ve got a more steady rise which I’ll be concentrating on here.

I’m not picking and choosing figures here. Almost anyone who lost 300+ points in a few months would have quit and not want anything to do with this service, so probably won’t be reading this.

The 300pt recovery over 15 months, with only one losing month (a massive 6 point loss) is more reflective of the service you’d be joining today, as is the 20pt average profit. At £10/pt, £200 a month isn’t massive but for the amount of effort you’re putting in quite easy money.

If the fees are not too expensive, this could be a very good little tipping service.

There’s always a cut-price offer to get you in the door, and in this case, it’s £4.99 for the first month. After that, it’s £19.95 each month or £39.95 for a quarter. Anything where the fees work out at about 10% of the average profits counts as a bargain in my book.

Because of that crash in profits a couple of years back, the recommended bank is set at 300pts. Given results in the 15 months since then, you won’t need anything like that so the fact you haven’t got £3000 (at £10/pt) to tie up as a bank doesn’t have to put you off.

Big Race Profit Basher Review Advantages

This service has a lot going for it. The bets are easy to put on and there aren’t too many of them. Even though this service is based on finding value, the tips arrive when the prices are a little more stable.

The profits are steady and with one losing month in the last 15, the fees are an absolute bargain coming in at less than 10% of the average monthly profit over those 15 months.

Big Race Profit Basher Review Disadvantages

Before those 15 months though, there was a massive crash in profits and you would have lost around £3000 in a few months. Having seen that on the results page, you’re always going to be worried that might happen again.

The fees are very good but some months you’re going to be paying that amount for a little as four tips, which isn’t going to make anybody happy.

Big Race Profit Basher Review Conclusion and Overall Rating

As I mentioned above, I’ve looked at this service before for another website. It made a lot of money very quickly. Then, I found out, lost most of it again very quickly. Since then there’s been a clear rethink and it looks a more stable way to make a steady profit over the course of a month.

This won’t appeal to everybody, but for me, it’s made it a much better service which I recommend you should add to your portfolio of tipsters.
