Oh My Dosh Review: Worth Your Time?

Dosh, Dough, Wonga, Scratch – whatever you call your cash, we could all do with more of it.  Thanks to the internet, there are any number of ways that you can make a bit of extra cash if you’re willing to put in a bit of time and, it’s our mission to find the best of ‘em.  Next up is a popular trial site, Oh My Dosh.

Oh My What?

Oh My Dosh is a reward site with some big-name partners including TalkTalk, NowTV and, Apple Music and, their own mascot, Doshy the dog.  With the motto, ‘Give a little time, get a lot of dosh’, Oh My Dosh rewards users for signing up to free trials with cold hard cash – or dosh.  Users can earn cash from the site by signing up for free trials, opting into paid surveys and referring friends.

How does it work?

The Oh My Dosh site is crammed with different free trial offers that you can take advantage of, including some great brand names.  Once you’ve signed up as a member, you can browse the site at your leisure to find interesting offers – note, some offers do require a small payment so you’ll need to do your sums in those cases to make sure it’s worth it.  Once you’ve selected an offer, you’ll see that it is marked as ‘pending’ – Oh My Dosh states that verification can take up to 3 days but it’s usually done a lot sooner than that.  Once your request has been verified you’ll be notified and given instructions on how to complete the task.  Once complete, your account will be credited with a cash amount and, when your balance reaches £10 or over, you can then withdraw the funds to your Paypal account.

How do I get doshed up?

Signing up to Oh My Dosh is super-simple – just go to the website, enter your name and email address and choose a password and, you’re in!  Refreshingly fast and straightforward, you should be able to go from sign up to browsing within a few minutes.

What’s in it for me?

With literally hundreds of offers to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice in terms of finding a great deal.  You won’t make a fortune from Oh My Dosh but there are some very worthwhile deals on the site.  If you opt to fill in surveys, you’ll probably earn between £1 and £1.50 per survey.  Sign up to Tails for a free trial and you’ll earn £1.50 plus two weeks free supply of dog food (you will be required to pay £1 toward delivery, however).  When going down the referral route, you’ll earn £5 if you refer a friend who, subsequently, reaches a balance of £10 on their new account.

Dosh or tosh?

Sounds good in theory but, is it really?  We take a look at some of the good bits and bad bits of Oh My Dosh.

The dosh

Make some cash – It’s more than possible to turn Oh My Dosh into a nice little side earner; particularly if you have lots of friends to refer (all those fivers soon add up).

Freebies – Oh My Dosh has some great free stuff available; you’ll often need to make a small contribution to delivery costs but it’s usually worth it.

Discover new things – Although you’re signing up to free trials to earn cash, you may just discover a few new product or service in the process.

The tosh

Time and cash – When filling out surveys, cash amounts tend to be very low in comparison to the time taken to complete them.

Getting caught out – If you’re choosing a free trial, you need to make sure that you make a note of the end date of the trial; otherwise you may find yourself out of pocket as you’ll then be charged the full amount.

Waiting time – Once you’ve chosen your offer, it can be really frustrating to have to wait to get started.

The verdict

As we hope we’ve made clear, you won’t get rich by using Oh My Dosh.  Having said that, if you are able to invest a little time each day to fill in surveys or sign up to trials, the rewards can quickly add up to a bit of pocket money.
