In this The Professors Formula review, I’ll be looking at this tipping service that has been running for over four years on the Tipster Street platform. I’ll be finding out if this ’formula’ is a recipe for success or if it’s just going to leave a bad taste in your mouth?

What is The Professors Formula?
I’m not a fan of secret formulas. They’re one step away from ‘unique algorithm’ which basically means ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’.

Perhaps I’m being overly cautious here but I used to work with somebody who came up with an idea, then ran it through various excel sheets of previous results until he found one that ‘proved’ it worked.
Of course, when tested they all bombed terribly. That’s what I was expecting to find here but once I took a closer look I found my skepticism may have been misplaced.
How does The Professors Formula Work?
Well, the formula doesn’t involve a bet every day. Other days though, you might get three or four. These are straight win tips that the ‘formula’ has worked out offer value on Betfair. As we all know, the trouble with ‘value’ tips is they soon change as the market catches up with them.
This is doubly true on Betfair, so getting these on as soon as possible is key to making any money with this service. You’ll be staking two or three points each time at odds that can be anywhere between 1.9 and 66. These should arrive between 9 am and 11 am so you’ll need to drop what you’re doing to get these on.
How long does The Professors Formula take to set up?
Before you can do any of this, you’ll need to get signed up and part with some cash, which you can do on the Tipster Street website. The tips will be sent to the email address of the PayPal account you entered on the subscription form, but you can change this if you get in contact with Tipster Street.
As I mentioned above, this is Betfair based. I expect everybody reading this has a Betfair account so there’s nothing new to join. The thing about looking for value on Betfair is that those prices are unlikely to be replicated on any of the other exchanges, or especially on bookmakers.
So, it’s just a case of making sure you’ve got some cash in your Betfair account and then waiting for the first tips to arrive.
How long does it take to use The Professors Formula?
This not as easy as it sounds. If you jump on these as soon as they arrive and get something like the advised odds, it can all be over in a couple of minutes. If you need to go looking for those same odds elsewhere because they’ve already moved, it will take longer and you’ll probably be wasting your time.
The other option is to put an order in at the advised odds and see if it gets taken at some point before the race starts. If all else fails there’s always BSP but that’s where the whole ‘value’ part goes out of the window.
How much can you make with The Professors Formula?

The thing is you’ll need every single price to be at or above the advised odds to make any decent money with this. The published results which are at advised prices you might not get, put overall profits at just 227pts for 53 months activity. Without taking into account the lower odds you’re more likely to get, this doesn’t really cut it.
It wasn’t always this way though. This service has had a shocking 12 months or so. If I had been looking at this in March 2019, just about a year ago, it would have been a different story. Back then you’d be looking at 420pts in 10 fewer months, so you’s be looking at 10pts each month instead, or a more reasonable £100.
The service has shown a recent upturn in December and Janurary though, so it could be that this service is returning to winning ways. However, as it stands, the average profit at £10/pt stands at £42.80
How much does The Professors Formula cost?
This is before you take subscription fees into account. Like all Tipster Street services, there is a special offer price of £3.79 for the first 30 days. This is just to tempt you in and after that, it’s £14.95 each month or £29.95 for a quarter.
Stood up against £100, this doesn’t seem too bad, but up against profits of £42.80, it doesn’t look like good value for money at all.
There is also the issue of the 350pt recommended bank. I can’t see anybody setting aside £3500 to fund a £42.80 a month profit when you can get better elsewhere.

The Professors Formula Review Advantages
There isn’t too much about this service that isn’t done just as well or better elsewhere. The only real advantage is if you’ve been banned from every bookie there is then this service is tailor-made for Betfair.
The Professors Formula Review Disadvantages
Apart from that, it’s all quite poor. The bets are only easy to get on if you get on them immediately, otherwise, it can be long and drawn out. The profits are mediocre at best and if you’d joined last March you’d be £2000 worse off.
The Professors Formula Review Conclusion and Overall Rating
For that reason, I have to say that you need to steer clear of this for the time being. The profits used to be reasonable, but they would need to be much better than that to make up for the potential mucking about (and bank size) you’d need to do to maake this worthwhile.
Look elsewhere.
