In this Glenn Whelan Racing review, I’ll be taking a look at this long-running service on the Tipster Street platform. I’ll be finding out if this service offers anything new, or is this just the same as everything else out there?
What is Glenn Whelan Racing?
I’m glad to say that there are plenty of perfectly good little tipping services out there. They give you reasonable profits for a reasonable monthly fee, have their ups and downs and aren’t too much effort to do each day.
I have to say that because at first glance, Glenn Whelan racing looked like just another one of these, I’ve avoided looking at it before. However, I was asked to take a look by a colleague who had made some decent profits since joining aa couple of months ago.
What he told me didn’t tie up with how it looked from the outside, so I decided to take a closer look.
How does Glenn Whelan Racing Work?
What didn’t surprise me was that you’ll get between one and four bets most days. They are mostly straightforward win tips, with the occasional each way thrown in to keep things interesting. You’ll be staking 2 points each time, with the more ambitious odds usually reserved for the each way bets.
These will arrive between 9 am and 11 am so you’ll have a bit of time to get these on. The odds shouldn’t move too much until much nearer the race, but getting them on quickly will give you the best chance of getting the advised odds.
So far, this is exactly what I was expecting and wasn’t disappointed or impressed by any of it. It is almost the dictionary definition of a tipping service and a tipping service that is like an awful lot of others too.
How long does Glenn Whelan Racing take to set up?
You’ll need to go to the Tipster Street website and sign-up before you can get in. Then it’s just a quick Paypal transaction to part with your cash and you’re good to go. The tips will now be sent each day to the email address for your PayPal account.
As expected, there is nothing new to learn here. There are no odd bets or other websites to join. You should be able to do all of this using your existing bookie accounts. You could just as easily do this on the exchanges if you wanted to do this very quickly.
How long does it take to use Glenn Whelan Racing?
Not that it’s going to take you long anyway. This is as straightforward as it gets so you’re looking at less than 5 minutes each day. I’d normally advise getting this set up on your phone for speed, but it won’t make a lot of difference here.
Unless you won’t be anywhere near your laptop between 9 am and 11 am, there’s no need for any special prep at all. Putting this lot on is not going to mess with your social calendar. In fact, if you want something easy to do in your tea break or between other jobs, this could be exactly what you are looking for.
How much can you make with Glenn Whelan Racing?
The whole reliable and predictable takes a dive here though. I was expecting this to make a 15-20pt profit each month, with the occasional losing month of about 10pts. And between Dec 2016 and December 2018 that was the case. It was also the case between July 2019 and today.
But, between Christmas 2018 and last summer, this had 6 losing months on the trot, losing half of the accumulated profits to date. As I mentioned above, recovery is now well underway, but anybody looking at those results is going to be jumpy.
As a result, profits now sit at £68.50 each month on average. Without that dip, they would be around double that, which is what you would hope for from a service like this. That is, of course, without taking monthly fees into account.
How much does Glenn Whelan Racing cost?
Like all Tipster Street services, there’s a special price introductory period to get you interested. This time, it’s a very reasonable £3.79 for the first 30 days. After that, it’s £14.95 each month or £29.95 for a quarter.
These are cheaper than a lot of other services on this platform, and may well be in response to the number of followers they must have haad leave after the first half of 2019. If you joined after that, you’ll be getting a service that looks to be very good value for money.
The recommended bank of 250pts is based, I think, on the 230 point dive last year. For a service like this 250pts is quite a lot (I was expecting closer to 100 points) but in this case, it does seem necessary.
Glenn Whelan Racing Review Advantages
For ease of use, this has every box ticked. Hand this to a beginner and they’d be happy. There’s nothing here to confuse anybody and it can all be done in a few minutes. The fees are cheap and for the profits being made most of the time, this is a very good little service.
Glenn Whelan Racing Review Disadvantages
It’s a shame about the first half of 2019 though. Six losing months in a row, wiping half the profits to date out is not a bad run, it’s an implosion. Whilst the profits have improved since then, it’s going to make any new subscribers concerned as soon as there’s a losing run. It also means there’s now a recommended £2500 starting bank, which doesn’t look worth tying up for £68/month.
Glenn Whelan Racing Review Conclusion and Overall Rating
If you’ve just joined this service in the last 6 months, you’d think it was OK. If you’d have joined six months before that, you’d think, with some justification, that this was the worst service ever.
I really can’t recommend this service. Not because this doesn’t give enough profits (they are quite reasonable since last summer)but because a service like this usually isn’t anything special, but it is usually reliable. Unfortunately, this service has proved it’s not even that.
