In this Dog Race Wagers review, I’ll be taking a look at this long-running greyhound tipping service. This is billed as the ‘ultimate way to win money from dog racing’ and I’ll be finding out if this service lives up to the claim or if this service has now gone to the dogs?
What is Dog Race Wagers?
Dog Race Wagers has been running on the Betfan platform for nearly five and a half years. I’m surprised I hadn’t come across this before but it turns out that this service has spent a lot of the last 54 months flying under the radar.
You wouldn’t know that from reading the website, which is full of the usual hyperbole you’d expect. There are several big claims here, none of which I was expecting Dog Race Wagers to fulfill. It is, after all, greyhound racing which seems to create lots of perfectly fine little services that make you a few quid each month with very little stress and effort.
I actually see that as a good thing, so what I was hoping for was to see another service just like that.
How does Dog Race Wagers Work?
Well, the very little effort box is ticked straight away. There isn’t a bet every day, in fact, you’ll only get 15-20 each month. They are straightforward win tips at reasonable odds staking 3 points each time.
There’s no hurry to get these on so there’s nothing to really trouble you in the slightest, so the very little stress box is ticked as well. I think the trouble might be that there’s nothing to catch the eye either.
How long does Dog Race Wagers take to set up?
There’s nothing difficult about getting signed up either. It won’t take you long (and it’s even quicker if you’re already a Betfan member) then it’s just a case of paying your money and then sitting back and waiting for your first tip to arrive.
This might take a day or two so you’ve got plenty of time to get to know where all of the greyhound markets are on your bookie’s website. You should be able to do all of this with your current bookmaker’s accounts so there are no new accounts to open. You could easily do this on the exchanges as well if you wanted.
How long does it take to use Dog Race Wagers?
When the tip does arrive, you can get it on in about as much time as it takes to sneeze. Normally I’d recommend, for convenience if not speed, that you get this all set up on your phone. That really won’t matter here as you can just do this in your own time.
So far this is so little effort, you might be wondering if it’s even worth bothering. Usually, the deciding factor in that are the profits so it’s time to take a look at those.
How much can you make with Dog Race Wagers?
I was expecting modest profits, but these are a bit too modest. 511pts in 44 months isn’t very impressive, at £10/pt it’s an average of £95 each month. It hasn’t made any money at all in 2019 which is even more disappointing.
I was expecting a much smoother ride than this as well, considering the number of bets and the stakes, I was surprised to see one 30 pt loss, let alone in consecutive months.
How much does Dog Race Wagers cost?
The fees are £9 for a week, £27 for 28 days, £76 for three months or £128 for six months. Given the number of bets, you get this would be about right if the service was making any sort of profit.
Even with those couple of losing months, you won’t wipe out a 100pt bank. Really though, you’d expect a service like this not to even dent it.
Dog Race Wagers Review Advantages
Which is a real shame, because up until that point, every box was being ticked. The bets were simple and easy to place with no real hurry to get them on. The fees are some of the cheapest around and anyone looking at this would see a service running for five years and think it has a history.
Dog Race Wagers Review Disadvantages
That history, unfortunately, is one of not making that much money. You’d expect a service like this to make small solid profits and it just doesn’t do that. There are far too many losses to give the follower any real confidence and in 2019 this played out when the service made a loss.
Dog Race Wagers Review Conclusion and Overall Rating
For that reason, I can’t recommend this service. Despite running for 5 years this service did not do enough for a lot of people to even know this existed. I ended up taking a look just to see what I was missing out on, and as it turned out – not much.
